We’ve all heard the term “clickbait.” It’s that intriguing picture or sensational headline that catches your eye while browsing online. All you know in that moment is that you want to know more . So, you click. That single click leads to a scroll, which leads to another scroll, and before you know it, the original reason you picked up your phone is completely gone. You’ve been pulled into the alluring world of "information." Wanting to know what’s going on in the world sounds innocent enough. But is it really? We live in a culture experiencing unprecedented levels of anxiety. So many of us carry an underlying sense of unrest—a persistent, background tension we can’t quite put our finger on.
